In order to distinguish between Grandparents Faber and Great-Grandparents Faber, we call the Former "Grandma and Grandpa Faber" and the latter "Grandma and Grandpa Great." We're staying with the Greats this summer to be closer to Will's new workplace and so far (a week into the summer) it's been great (no pun intended).
Today, while Will was at work, Grandma and Grandpa let Reese and me join them for some errands. Grandma was getting her hair done while the rest of us went to a nearby park to let Reese play. Reese had a good time- until she managed to find the one mud puddle on the playground and proceeded to stomp, splash and then sit in it. It was fun at first, but then she realized she was wet and dirty and broke down crying.
She doesn't like being dirty. I took off her pants so she could sit in her car seat without muddying it up, but she also noticed how muddied her socks were and became very upset about it until I took them off, too. So far she's been pretty meticulous about keeping her hands clean, but it seems she may end up being a generally clean child. And I am completely to blame for the fact that we had to drive home to get a change of clothes before picking up Grandma. I should know better than to not bring a change of clothes when going to a park.
At Grandma and Grandpa's- in between outfits.

Holy cow, Anna, you look just like Jessica in this photo. And having a toddler who likes to be clean can't be a bad thing... right? :)
